‘En Garde’ at Ainsworth House!

This was such a fun wedding to photograph at Ainsworth House, in Oregon City.  Alyssa and Nick and their family and friends had such a great time, and we just tagged along and captured it all.  (I think this is the second or third wedding we’ve photographed that included swords!)  After the wedding, we asked them a few questions about some of their favorite memories, and this is what they shared with us:

What was your favorite moment of your wedding?

After the ceremony and group photos when Cambrae was taking pictures of the rings and bouquet and we got to sit in the ceremony space by ourselves and let it sink in that we were married at last. It felt more right than I can put into words.

Where did you find your wedding attire?

David’s Bridal (my dress), Azazie (gals’ dresses), and Men’s Warehouse (guys’ tuxes)

What was your favorite detail from your wedding?

My mom made all the bouquets and boutonnieres out of book and map pages because I’m allergic to most flowers.  They looked beautiful and really captured us.  Same with our sweetheart table, we got to show off our bride and groom corgi mugs!

What was the funniest thing that happened at your wedding?

My grandma joined the dancing group in the song Low by Flo Rida!  Nana got low!

Is there anything else that you’d like to share?

The ceremony was a perfect representation of our love and how important our friends and family are to us.  We had two of our best friends officiate, one of our friends play a trumpet concerto, one friend read a poem he wrote for us, and one read a passage from Winnie the Pooh.  It was perfectly unique 🙂
