Skamania Lodge holds a special place in my life. Not only is it a beautiful lodge set in my native state of Washington, overlooking the awe-inspiring Columbia River Gorge. But it is also the place my wife and I spent our wedding night, and it has been the site of several delightful family outings. (Their restaurant serves exceptional fare.)
So photographing a wedding at Skamania Lodge is a real treat. Their staff is attentive and friendly, the food is fantastic (you can’t always say this about wedding food…), and the site is stunning.
Megan and Alan had their destination wedding here, and we were privileged with telling their wedding story. They are a delightful couple, who love to goof around. Megan is also very organized (she’s a school teacher), and the day was well planned and smooth. And the design of the reception ballroom was amazing.
