When I met Terrance over coffee, I was instantly struck by his intensely good taste. He was a natural artist, someone who could whip up a beautiful gown for his future mother-in-law without a pattern or even measuring her. I was immediately taken in and we became fast friends, babbling about fashion, “Vogue” inspired wedding photography, and the importance of natural light. When it came to his wedding, he was the visionary. His beautiful bride Ashley, the perfect compliment, chose her own dress but left the rest to her groom. Swathed in Vera Wang, she shimmered into the room the morning of, soft, ethereal and incandescently happy. We shared a toast and set to the final touches before seeing her groom for their first look.
I’ll never forget the tears sliding down his cheeks as he saw her, his eyes gleaming with pride and joy.
After the beautiful lawn ceremony, we tucked away for a few moments of intimate portraits before they entered the reception as man and wife. The day was flawless and I felt so privileged to capture their memories and enclose them in their wedding album, their first family heirloom.
