I’ll give you fair warning from the outset: this will probably devolve into a blog post about cute children. So consider yourself warned.
Several years ago, I photographed Alex Freeman’s senior portraits, and a few years after that, I photographed his brother Dan’s senior portraits. I have to admit, it made me feel old to have Alex and Dan’s dad call me up just a few weeks ago, and ask me to photograph Alex’s wedding. But I was also honored.
Alex spent some time during college living in Argentina, studying Spanish, culture, and…tango. And guess who he met at tango? A beautiful woman. Who he ended up marrying this week. In Spanish. (My own Spanish skills came in quite handy, for both communication with the bride, and in translating for others….)
This brings us to the cute kids thing. Paola has a young son, and, paired with Alex’s niece of the same age, made for a fun day for all of us–almost as interesting to photograph as the couple getting married.
And get married they did, at Oswego Hills Winery, in Lake Oswego, Oregon, with flowers by Artistic Flowers. They were surrounded by family and friends–including many of Alex’s college friends who flew in from around the country for the weekend. It was a special time on a beautiful summer day.
