A few months ago, Maria Piscopo, writer for Shutterbug Magazine, asked if she could interview me for an article she was writing. The article was aimed at would-be wedding photographers, and titled “The Business End of Wedding Photography”. I said I was happy to be interviewed, and we had some good conversations.
She later asked if they could purchase the rights to use one of my wedding photographs on the cover of the magazine, and I was happy to oblige.
This month the March 2011 issue came out, and it looks great. The photograph on the cover is from Aaron and Juliana’s wedding, which we photographed at McMenamin’s Edgefield this past summer.
It’s a good article, with helpful tips on having a business plan, marketing your wedding photography, thoughts on changes in the industry, and more. Pick up a copy today and see it for yourself!
The photographs in the article are from the following weddings on our blog:
Dayn and Mandi’s wedding in rural Oregon
Katie and Justin’s wedding in McCall, Idaho
Cool! Congrats!
