Portland Bride and Groom Portrait

Mike and Lauren Got Married!

Unique Wedding Photograph Portland

It doesn’t matter the size or budget or location of a wedding, I really enjoy working with and photographing fun people.  And Lauren and Mike are fun people.

They were married in Woodlawn Park, in NE Portland, after getting ready at a friend’s house nearby.  Not only was the park a beautiful place for the ceremony, but it provided us with a lot of fun options for portraits of the bride and groom, and the family and wedding party (and their dog).

After the ceremony and portraits, we walked across the street to the lovely and historic Firehouse Restaurant.  Guests were treated to Firehouse’s delicious fare, and by Mike and Lauren’s very Portland version of wedding cake: Voodoo Doughnuts.  (They could hardly keep their son out of them!  I lost count of how many he snuck away with….)

This is the photograph Mike and Lauren chose for their free 11×14 print.  I can’t wait to see it on their wall!

And below: the stash of Voodoo Doughnuts (with a few missing):

This was one of the most hilarious and touching moments I’ve ever seen at a wedding.  During toasts, Mike and Lauren’s son took the mic, and began strutting around the room, giving his little speech.  And he just did not stop.  People were laughing so hard they were crying.  It was beautiful.
