When we arrived at Youngberg Hill Vineyard and Inn for Kristina and Ryan’s wedding, Becky, the hostess, greeted us. “This is the easiest, most low-key, happiest couple we’ve had in a long time!” she said enthusiastically. And she was right.
Kristina and Ryan are a lot of fun, and sweet, and easy going. So it was a real pleasure to follow them around for a day and document their wedding story. Join us here for some of the highlights of the story…
We photograph weddings at Youngberg Hill Vineyard fairly often, but this was the first time that the lavender has been so lush. We couldn’t pass this shot up–in spite of all the friendly honeybees that were buzzing about!
Ryan is a firefighter, and Kristina is a nurse. A pretty great match, if you ask me. (Notice that Ryan’s last name, Flannery, is emblazoned across the bottom of his firefighter jacket in the cake topper above.)
Kristina had asked us if we could photograph her with Youngberg Hill’s horse. As it turns out, they don’t have a horse any more–just a couple of large cows in a field nearby! Nicolette, the owner, offered to ask a neighbor if they could bring their horse by, and they agreed. (What customer service!) Soon after the wedding ceremony, the neighbor trotted in, and we were able to make Kristina’s dream come true! And what’s more, all the kids at the wedding got to ride the horse for the next 45 minutes.
Not only were the adults a lot of fun to photograph while dancing, but the kids were too! Check out this girl’s moves.
The DJ at the wedding was Flip Flop Sounds, who kept the party moving.
Hair and makeup was provided by Jennifer Walker of Face Body Beauty–always lovely work.
Congratulations Kristina and Ryan on a lovely wedding! We loved photographing it. Thanks for being so fun to work with.
