Kendal and Eric’s vintage wedding was held at Camp Colton, an 85-acre retreat at the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Their ceremony took place in a gorgeous historic chapel constructed with dark wood walls and pews, and the bridal party dance the night away at the old lodge just down the gravel road. Eric had a slicked-to-the side debonair hairdo and Kendal had bright red lipstick, long dark eyelashes and a graceful 1940s-inspired dress. Nestled between the trees, old cabins reminiscent of summer camp contributed to the nostalgic vibe of the day, and a lake, appropriately accompanied by a red canoe on its shore and a little dock edging into its waters, completed the picture-perfect location. The first time I met Kendal was at the FritzPhoto studio open house in the spring. She and another makeup artist from AJ’s Hair and Makeup were doing free demonstrations of their work, and I got excited the day I learned that she would be coming in for a consultation. It’s always great being able to work closely with our vendors, and it’s equal great when they support us, too!
