A Celebration of Love
Grace and Nahian were already married in both a western and traditional ceremony, and we were invited to photograph their two celebrations in the Portland area. Both days were filled with so much love, joy, color, laughter and dancing. It was truly such a gift to photograph this sweet couple surrounded by their family and friends being showered with love.
The first of the two celebrations began with the Holud, which is a traditional Bengali wedding festivity, at the Hidden Creek Community Center in Hillsboro. This included the bridal party entrance, the tradition of feeding the bride and groom, then a cultural program followed by family and friends performing songs and dance.
The next day was the wedding reception at the Sentinel Hotel’s Governor’s Ballroom in Portland, which included the wedding party entrance, family and friend photos on stage, dinner, speeches and cake cutting.
It was truly such a gift to photograph the happy couple surrounded by their family and friends. The energy in the room was palpable, and the photos reflect it.
