The Wing Family Portraits in Portland

Together for Thanksgiving

The Wing family contacted us to photography their family portraits because all six of their kids and their families were in Portland for Thanksgiving, and they weren’t sure when they would all be together again. Since they have such a large family and such a beautiful home, we photographed them there. We moved some furniture around and stayed out of the drizzle of the Oregon winter.

Not everyone gets excited about family portrait photos…

There was one youngster who didn’t really like the whole process of family portraits, so we let him do his thing and absolutely love the flare he adds to their photos. The lollipop and toy really help tell a story, and could possibly be used to embarrass him in years to come! Once we let him play he immediately stopped crying and showed off to the camera. He’s independent, and we respect that.

It’s such a joy to be able to create family portraits for people, to freeze this moment while embracing each and every one.
