It’s not uncommon for me to book wedding, portrait, or magazine assignments with people from out of town, people I’ve never met in person before. So it’s enjoyable to meet a couple for the first time when we shoot their engagement portraits. It’s a great way to get to know each other before the big day, and to create some beautiful images together.
Bray and Mandin were in town this week from Texas, to work on their July wedding plans at the Abernathy Center. After an appointment with AJ’s Hair Design and Makeup, we stepped in out of the rain for some indoor portraits. Thankfully the rain abated, and we were able to fulfill their wish to create some portraits with Downtown in the background. Bray and Mandin are a really fun couple (and they came to my art opening the following evening), and I’m pleased to be working with them to document this important time in their life together.
