I was also excited about shooting this event because it was a completely vintage wedding at the Aero Space Museum of Calgary. I wasn’t disappointed… the vintage-styling looked amazing against a backdrop of old antique airplanes!
The morning of the wedding day I hung out with the bride and groom while they were getting ready. Courtney was completely decked out in vintage wear… from her dress to her headpiece to her pearls to her fur stole. I loved that her dress highlighted the amazing tattoo artistry across her back! The ceremony was in the airplane hanger surrounded by old airplanes, while the reception was next door in the museum. Courtney ran with the vintage travel theme, and decorated the tables with old globes, miniature planes, maps, and suitcases. Even the flowers were adorned with old keys that she had been collecting from antique stores. She also did a fabulous job of honoring family members that were no longer with them, and family that had served in the military. They recognized that their lives and relationship were a culmination of all the family members that went before them.
At FritzPhoto, we love to tell love stories.
